Nicely realised. I"m gonna sound like my high school teacher for saying this but I really love that right arm of Woner Woman. It has wonderful definition and tone there. Not sure but I find my eye drawn to that section. Wierd.......just like my teacher. He would single out just sections the he appreciated but it's all good.
Been a lot of talk about a Wonder Woman lately and a possible film adaption. Any takers Yatz? Fancy any of the current crop of actress to don the blue satin tights? I think Lynda's Carters shoes would be hard to fill much like Christopher Reeve as Supes. The guy just made too strong an impression.
Not very surprising - I actually started the painting with that very arm... it - and her face - were to me the focal point of this painting (hey, maybe that high school teacher wasn't such a boob, after all!).
A new Wonder Woman - problem, problem... Adriana Policki was pretty much a fiasco - she just didn't have the gravitas needed for this role. I'm by no way in favor of a body-builder WW - I do want this to appeal to as large an audience as possible - but she must have an imposing physical presence. No one I can think of who could fit the bill... I would have gone with Kate Beckinsale, who is both breath-takingly beautiful and has proven action chops - but she's just too petite. You just can't hide Wonder Woman behind a vampire bad-ass black leather suit...
Adriana Policki ? Not sure who that is?Yes, Beckinsale is sweet but I agree..........too petite.I always thought the girl from JAG would have been a good choice but she might be over 40 now I'm not quite sure. I'd imagine she still looks fantastic though. She looked good ina uniform adn even better in a bikini although she may have had children . I'm not sure. I reckin she's is ( or was) the best option. There was an actress in that Masters of Horror Series. She is currently in Stargate playing some role. She's a staggering looking girl( the hot tube scene from Masters of Horror is an eye opener). But I think she suffers from the sme problem as Kate in that she is too short. She has ample proportions and a beautiful face but you neeeeeeed the height for such a role. I just googled her name. It's Julia Benson:
Another canuck, eh? Your roots are showing, mate... Pretty hot, all right. Catherine Bell (the girl from JAG) is still pretty hot, but, yeah, a bit on the oldish side for the part. Adriana Policki was David E. Kelly's choice for the failed Wonder Woman TV series. She wasn't quite as scrawny as his usual girl heroines (Ally McBeal seems to be the prototype), and was good-looking enough - only it was "enough" to play a Texan highschool girl (which is what she was doing for the last 5 years), not an Amazon princess!
